Meet the twelve entrepreneurs who pitched their way to a Young EDGE R11 Award

In what has been a hugely competitive round of finals and semi-finals, it was the turn this week of twenty-one young entrepreneurs to pitch to a panel of expert judges in the round eleven Young EDGE final.

In keeping with our Wild Card EDGE finalists and Scottish EDGE semi-finalists, the standard of pitching was exceptionally high and made the task of selecting the winners especially difficult for the panel.

Nonetheless, it is with great pleasure that we are able to announce the twelve round eleven Young EDGE winners, each of whom will receive grant funding of up to £10,000 from the £100,000 allocated prize pot for the category. In addition, the winning businesses will receive a comprehensive non-financial business support package, which is provided by Scottish EDGE’s various partner organisations.

The winners of the Young EDGE competition have been informed of their success, however, the exact amount allocated to each business will not be revealed until the Scottish EDGE Round 11 final, to be held at the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Gogarburn campus on Thursday, Dec 14th, 2017 (free tickets available here).

A full list of Scottish EDGE finalists can be found here, with Intelligent Gels, who impressed the judges with their environmentally sound sealant technologies, and Wild Card EDGE vote winner, Adelie Health, completing the line-up.
