Announcing Our New Creative Partnership with MadeBrave

Just in time for the launch of applications for round nine, we’re launching a refreshed Scottish EDGE brand and new website, designed by our newly appointed creative partner, MadeBrave. The rebrand, which includes a refreshed logo to reflect a more modern approach to its design, was undertaken by the Glasgow-based design and branding agency who, as part of the new partnership, will also offer Scottish EDGE winning businesses a range of services as part of the competition’s non-financial support package.

Announcing the partnership, Scottish EDGE CEO, Evelyn McDonald, said; “We are absolutely delighted to be joining forces with the great team at MadeBrave. Not only have they done a fantastic job enhancing our brand and redeveloping our website, but they will also offer tremendous value to Scottish EDGE winning businesses, through a soon to be announced winners’ support package. Our partnership with MadeBrave adds to our existing network of partner organisations and we look forward to working with them for many years to come.”

Andrew Dobbie, Founder and Director of MadeBrave, added; “Having been a finalist a few years ago, I got to experience Scottish EDGE first hand and see the difference it made (and continues to make) to not only my own business, but to loads of others too. Every year, EDGE create amazing opportunities for businesses in Scotland, and it goes way beyond funding. The ongoing support is what really helps these start ups and scale ups to grow – you only need to look around to see the effect they’ve had. For us, it’s great to be a part of it and at the same time, do our bit to support our fellow businesses in Scotland.”

Scottish EDGE’s new website, designed and developed by MadeBrave, reflects growing interest in what is now the world’s largest business competition, both from potential applicants and the wider public. Commenting on the website, Scottish EDGE’s Marketing & Communications Assistant, Christopher Sladdin, said; “We feel it is important to showcase the huge economic impact that the small sums of money Scottish EDGE are awarding are having here in Scotland. Our new website, designed by MadeBrave, does just that, while also highlighting the benefits of the Scottish EDGE support to winning businesses and showcasing our latest activities and achievements.”

Scottish EDGE have signed an initial one-year agreement with MadeBrave, with a view to extending the partnership beyond this to support our growing alumni base through our support package, as well as the competition’s ever-evolving brand requirements.
