The introduction of Creative EDGE in Round 11 resulted in a 145% increase in Creative Industry applications and it was the second highest sector represented at the application stage. DirectDevitt, a business which runs SQA accredited comedy and confidence workshops, emerged ahead of strong competition as the Round 11 Creative EDGE winner, securing £50,000 in grant and loan funding in the process.
Scottish EDGE launched Round 12 on 31st January, with the application window closing at 2 pm on 7th March and the final planned for 29th May – followed by an awards ceremony on 14th June, where up to £1 million in grant and loan funding will be awarded to around thirty Scottish startups. Scottish EDGE itself is supported by the Royal Bank of Scotland, The Hunter Foundation and the Scottish Government.
