Nu Blvck, founded by Becca Flory and Andrew Vincent, works with emerging fashion designers and artisans to create beautiful, exclusively designed accessory collections. These are then made available in limited numbers through their website and customers are encouraged to connect with, and hear the stories of, the artists designing and creating their products – an ethical brand, on a mission to change the way people shop.
The winning business will now be given the opportunity to pitch for additional funding at the Scottish EDGE Round Nine final on December 15th, 2016. Evelyn McDonald, CEO of Scottish EDGE, commented; “We’re absolutely delighted by the level of engagement we’ve seen in this, our second Wild Card EDGE Public Vote. Generating 1,168 unique, non-incentive based, votes is a remarkable feat – one that our three worthy contenders should be proud of. We look forward to seeing Nu Blvck pitch at the Scottish EDGE final and to supporting all three businesses as they continue their entrepreneurial journeys.”
Of the 1,168 votes, Nu Blvck received 509 (44%) votes.
