In a guest blog, Wild Card EDGE Round 7 winner, Anne Farquharson of Equestrian Reviewer (GnuHow), shares her thoughts on the recent Scottish EDGE Alumni Retreat, which was hosted by Power of Youth in early August.
Just in time for the launch of applications for round nine, we’re launching a refreshed Scottish EDGE brand and new website, designed by our newly appointed creative partner, MadeBrave. The rebrand, which includes a refreshed logo to reflect a more modern approach to its design, was undertaken by the Glasgow-based design and branding agency who, as part of the new partnership, will also offer Scottish EDGE winning businesses a range of services as part of the competition’s non-financial support package.
Britain’s biggest business competition, Scottish EDGE, is offering Scotland’s entrepreneurial businesses the chance to pitch for up to £150,000 in funding and support. As of today, businesses are able to apply for the competition’s ninth round, with a total prize fund of £1.3 million available. To date, 205 businesses have received the coveted Scottish EDGE award, generating 641 Scottish jobs, producing an additional £31.80 million in turnover, and receiving £28.36 million in external investment as a result of the fund’s support.
Are you considering applying for Scottish EDGE Round 9? Then come along to one of our workshops to find out what makes a strong Scottish EDGE application, what the judging panel look for when assessing your application and how to deliver a 3-minute video presentation. The workshops are delivered by experts from the entrepreneurial eco-system and the Scottish EDGE team and could be the first step in your Scottish EDGE journey to winning £150,000.
