At the Scottish EDGE, we’re just as passionate about supporting our alumni as we are about encouraging new applications from Scotland’s up and coming entrepreneurs. That’s why we’re launching a new monthly blog series which charts the successes of our past winners in the past month. There’s lots to celebrate, with March 2016 seeing our alumni receive a number of awards, prize nominations, sell-out pre-orders, and more.

What is Scot Edge?

The Young EDGE award is an entrepreneurial grant awarded by Scot EDGE to growing businesses with Directors aged between 18-30. The support for the companies who win it is two fold, a financial grant of up to £10,000 and the feedback and industry mentorship that accompanies it. It was nearly four months ago now that our own Scot EDGE journey ended with James Watt handing us our Young EDGE award and grant of £5000, and HubSolv has come on leaps and bounds since.

EDGE Alumni and Fashion shopping app developer Mallzee is set to expand after securing £2.5m from investors.

The money was raised in a funding round led by the Royal Mail Group and backed by investors, including the Scottish Investment Bank, Par Equity and technology entrepreneurs.
